FREDERICTON, N.B. - Ignite Fredericton, the community’s economic development catalyst agency, along with Planet Hatch and Knowledge Park, invites members of the media to attend the 2016 Vision 2020 Progress Summit on Wednesday, June 8 at the Fredericton Convention Centre from 8 to 11 a.m.

The progress summit is an opportunity for stakeholders, Fredericton Ambassadors, business leaders and the community at large to learn about key performance indicators, strategic initiatives, partnerships and results in relation to objectives outlined in the Vision 2020 Economic Development Strategy.

Leading up to the Vision 2020 Progress Summit, we would like to highlight the various chalk painted messages around the city, as part of a campaign intended to create buzz about all the accolades and exciting activity happening in the city.

The event will begin with coffee and networking from 8 until 8:30 a.m. After opening remarks from 8:30 to 8:40 a.m., including those by His Worship Mike O’Brien, presentations will run until 10:00 a.m., followed by a small expo of task force members.

Highlights of the presentations will include:

  • Presentation of the annual report card with information about new businesses and jobs created
  • Update on strategic initiatives, task forces and population growth efforts
