Fredericton, NB - The Board of Directors of Ignite Fredericton announced today that it will be embarking upon a new course with the announcement of the departure of its long-serving CEO, Doug Motty.
“The board wishes to thank Doug for his many years of service and his contributions to the organization over the years. Evolving from the Greater Fredericton Economic Development Corporation to Enterprise Fredericton and now Ignite Fredericton, there have been many transitions over the years, and Doug has lead us through them all” stated Heather MacLean, Ignite Fredericton Board Chair. “We are a different organization than we were just a year ago. We are laser-focused on driving the entrepreneurial agenda for the Greater Fredericton region.”
As the next stage of Ignite Fredericton, the board’s executive will be working with the interim CEO, Larry Shaw, to realign and restructure the organization to play a greater role in the economic development ecosystem in the region.
